Amanda Joy Shapiro aka AJ Shapiro (she/her) has 15+ years of combined entertainment industry experience and film studies education. AJ started her own company, AJS Entertainment Services LLC to help producers as a Union Consultant with the paperwork and processes for SAG-AFTRA, etc., as well as provides Screenplay Critique services of comprehensive script notes. Previous education and experience includes: Business Representative with the Entertainment Contracts Dept. at SAG-AFTRA's New York City Office; Paralegal at a prominent NYC entertainment law firm; Judge for a Long Island film festival; Intern for a prominent NYC production office; Various Research Assistance for film producers; Earned a Masters degree in Film Studies; Earned a Bachelors degree in Cinema & Cultural Studies; Earned an Associates degree in Liberal Arts; Published a Graduate Thesis focused on Afterlife Cinema; and Wrote an Undergraduate Thesis focused on Hollywood Remakes of Western-European Cinema.

AJ Shapiro is proud and grateful to be the latest generation contributing to her family's legacy in the entertainment industry. Her great-grandparents were Broadway producers. Her grandfather was a movie and TV theme composer. Her great-uncle is a film director, writer and producer. And her great-great uncle was a writer and producer, first for radio programs and then television shows.
