Biography

Caridad Cole is a speculative writer, filmmaker, actress, and visual artist, originally from New York City. After graduating from Bard College with a BA in both film production and creative writing, Caridad appeared in several award-winning indie dramas, worked with Oscar-nominated director Mike Mills, and starred in a trio of music videos for American rock band Mayday Parade. Under her own production company, pico bonito, she has released experimental short films and animations. Caridad's work most often reflects magical realism, a tradition also seen in the literary and art magazine she founded in 2023, Moonday Mag.
