He was born in Burnaby, British Columbia, to Ben Panagiotou, who was an Auto Mechanic, and Cathy Panagiotou, who was a stay at home mother. His father was of Greek-Cypriot descent and his mother is of Ukrainian ancestry. Joshua grew up in Maple Ridge BC. He is married to fellow BC native, Sarah Panagiotou, whom he met in high school, and with whom he has two children. Joshua's hobbies include working out, metal working, and playing guitar and drums. He has one younger sibling.
