Biography

Guerrero was born in San Antonio, Texas. In the late 1980s, his family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, which he came to consider his true hometown. As a child, C.J. found his calling as a writer. He attended Foy H. Moody High School, where he continued to develop his writing skills by working for the school newspaper, eventually rising to the position of Editor-in-Chief. He graduated in 2001.

In 2004, he attended the KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts (formerly KD Studios) in Dallas, Texas, graduating with an Associate Degree in Acting for Theater and Television. Unsatisfied with being in front of the camera, he decided to make a career change and moved to Denver, Colorado. There, he attended the Ohio Center for Broadcasting, graduating with an Associate Degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.

However, his yearning for the big screen remained. In 2015, after marrying his partner, he took a leap of faith, dropped everything, and moved to California to focus entirely on writing and directing. He attended the Los Angeles Film School, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production with an emphasis in writing and directing.

Since graduating from the Los Angeles Film School, C.J. has worked on several films as an Assistant Director and Line Producer. He is also currently producing his first feature-length horror film, In Darkness.
