- Jimmy Prosser is a writer/director and American Film Institute (AFI) Screenwriting Fellow (MFA 2026). Jimmy’s feature script, "Dead Eye Dong," inspired by his Korean grandfather, was among The Black List’s top trending dramas in 2025, and recommended by it to the 2025/2026 Academy Nicholl Fellowships. His other recent scripts, including animated comedy "Dimebag" and short "Korean Shooter," tell diverse stories with an appealing comedic veneer. In 2023, Korean Shooter won the WeScreenplay Short Script Lab, LA Shorts Film Festival (staged reading), Tokyo Int'l Short Film Festival, and Big Apple Film Festival. His pilot script for Dimebag won several contests, including Austin Comedy Film Festival, Los Angeles Animation Festival, and No Boundaries Screenwriting Competition.
Jimmy earned his BFA from New York University's (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television in 2018, where his pilot for the limited series "John & Meryl" was selected by NYU Tisch faculty as the Outstanding TV Thesis (Drama).
Jimmy has worked as a Development Intern with The Weinstein Company/Dimension Films, Paramount Pictures, and DIGA Studios. He is the founder of the production company, Dimebag Productions LLC.
