Amy Shark is an Australian born musician from Gold Coast , Queensland .For years and years Amy had to do her songs acoustic as she could not afford a recording company .But finally it happened her big break came in 2016 when Shark released the hit Song Adore ,the song got her 6 nominations and 2 wins at the ARIAS she also won an APRA and the song has become a 5×platinum track on Spotify. Since the release of Adore Amy Shark has released other hit songs like I said hi certified 4× platinum ,mess her up ,all loved up and Everybody rise all certified 1×platinum. She has become a house hold name in Australia and one of Australia's most beloved and iconic music artists. She has done collaborations with worldwide hit artists like the Chainsmokers, blink-182s Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker she is also releasing a songs with Keith Urban and Ed Sheeran. Amy had also been on the late ,late show with James Corden and the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon and has become a hit worldwide and a familiar name to many.

Recorded and performed under the name Amy Cushway from 2008 to 2012, then began using the stage name of Amy Shark in 2013. She chose the new name because she wanted it to be something catchy and interesting, she was terrified of sharks and as a kid she grew up watching the movie Jaws (1975) a lot and loved it.

Has won 8 Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) awards from 28 nominations from 2017 to 2021.
