Vern Schuppan was born on May 19, 1943 in Booleroo Centre, South Australia, Australia. He is a producer, known for Formula 1 (1950), ESPN Speedworld (1979) and An Aussie at Indy (1982).

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who has driven for: BRM (1972 (1 GP Not Started)), Ensign (1974 (5 GPs)), Hill (1975 (1 GP)), Surtees (1977 (3 GPs)). He started 9 Grands Prix.

He won the 1983 24 Hours of Le Mans.

He finished 3rd place in the 1981 Indy 500.
