Renato is a Brazilian-American multi-hyphenate filmmaker and performer with experience in acting, writing, directing, and producing. A graduate of the School of Dramatic Art at the University of Sao Paulo (EAD/ECA/USP) and currently pursuing an MFA in Producing at the American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI) in Los Angeles. Renato's latest work SNAIL has won the LA Brazilian Film Festival and NY Film Awards as Best International Film, Best Actor and Best Screenplay and received other accolades at festivals worldwide, underscoring Renato's multifaceted creative voice.
Renato was born and raised in Brazil, where his artistic life began onstage before expanding into writing, directing, and producing.
