Biography

Leland Hall is a filmmaker and writer from Mobile, Alabama based in Los Angeles. He learned early on that storytelling helped satisfy his curiosity about humanity. At its best, it can impact the world in profound ways. Leland is a graduate of Florida A&M University and received his M.F.A in Film and TV Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts. His student film Driving Lesson was selected to numerous festivals and has been archived in the USC Media Institute for Social Change.

He is one of few to have his screenplay selected as a finalist in the PAFF John Singleton Writing Competition in multiple years. He began his professional career at HBO in Original Programming where he worked on series such as Insecure, Barry, and A Black Lady Sketch Show. Most recently, Leland directed and produced the feature sports documentary, Warriors.
