Bruce Chiu is a film director recognized for his debut feature, A Girl out of the Country. The film premiered at the 43rd Hawaii International Film Festival, where it earned a nomination for the NETPAC Emerging Asian Director Award. He holds an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where his work received the Jury Award (2019) and Audience Choice Award (2022) at the USC Asian Pacific Film Festival and screened at international film festivals including Raindance.
