Alain Emile is a multi-instrumentalist film & media composer from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico based in Los Angeles, CA. Minimalistic and unconventional, his style brings an experimental and collaborative approach to film & media scoring.
His work has premiered at national and international film festivals, including an Official Selection at the 2017 Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner, Tribeca, LALIFF, Pan African, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle and Aspen Film Festival, + others. His debut feature film A Place in The Field premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in 2022 and was acquired by Lionsgate's Grindstone Entertainment Group with a theatrical and SVOD release in 2023.
Most recently, Alain scored the film Esta Isla premiered in competition at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival taking home 3 awards and the Guadalajara Film Festival. Other recent work includes the 2025 documentary Who is Michael Jang? Produced by Strike Anywhere which premiered on PBS via Independent Lens and Gianfranco Fernadez-Ruiz's When Big People Lie which was an Official Selection at Telluride.
Alain also releases music independently under the moniker Pablo Swiss. His debut album was listed as one of Bandcamp's best ambient releases of 2017
