He started 57 Grands Prix and 11 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 12th in 1973.
- In 1973, he drove for the works Ferrari team in the sports car racing. Sharing a Ferrari 312PB with José Carlos Pace, the duo finished 2nd place at the 1000 km Nürburgring and 24 Hours of Le Mans and 3rd place at 6 Hours of Watkins Glen.
- He is remembered for being one of the four drivers, along with Guy Edwards, Brett Lunger and Harald Ertl, who saved Niki Lauda from his burning car during the 1976 German Grand Prix.
