Biography

Héctor Rebaque was born on February 5, 1956 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Hesketh (1977 (1 GP)), Rebaque (1978 (9 GPs)-1979 (10 GPs)) and Brabham (1980 (7 GPs)-1981 (14 GPs)). He started 41 Grands Prix and 13 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 10th in 1981.

Teammates in Formula One were: Harald Ertl, Ian Ashley and Nelson Piquet.

Winner: 1000 Km of Mexico - Autodromo Magdalena (1974).

By winning at Elkhart Lake, the 1982 Road America Grand Prix, the debut race on the IndyCar calendar, Hector Rebaque became the first Mexican to win in the category.
