- Born
- Giovanna Amati was born on July 20, 1959 in Rome, Italy.
- Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for Brabham (1992 (3 GPs Not Qualified)). She failed to qualify for 3 Grands Prix.
- Teammate in Formula One was Eric van de Poele.
- Giovanna Amati signed with the Brabham team in January 1992 to partner Eric van de Poele after the team was unable to sign Japanese F3000 driver Akihiko Nakaya, who was not granted a superlicence due to the FIA not recognising the Japanese F3000 series as a stepping stone in motor racing. She failed to qualify for the first three races of the 1992 Formula 1 season (South Africa, Mexico, and Brazil). Due to her lack of results and an issue with her sponsorship payments, she was replaced by Damon Hill starting from the fourth round, which was the Spanish Grand Prix.
