Biography

Mauro Baldi was born on January 31, 1954 in Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Arrows (1982 (11 GPs)), Alfa Romeo (1983 (15 GPs)) and Spirit (1984 (7 GPs)-1985 (3 GPs)). He started 36 Grands Prix and 5 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 16th in 1983.

Champion: World Sportscar Championship (1990), European Formula 3 (1981), Coppa Renault 5 Elf (1977), Renault 5 European Cup (1977).

Winner: 12 Hours of Sebring (1998), 24 Hours of Daytona (1998, 2002), 24 Hours of Le Mans (1994).

He won the Triple Crown of Endurance Racing: 12 Hours of Sebring (1998), 24 Hours of Daytona (1998, 2002), 24 Hours of Le Mans (1994).

Teammates in Formula One were: Brian Henton, Marc Surer and Andrea de Cesaris.
