Biography

Julie Wiskirchen was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She holds a BA in English and Film Theory from the University of Notre Dame and an MFA in Fiction Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. She worked as an executive assistant at McKinsey & Company in New York City and Sydney, Australia. She was the first executive assistant in Google's Los Angeles office and worked there from 2005-2015, hosting many Talks@Google events that can be found on YouTube. Since 2017, she has been an executive assistant at IMDb. She is the co-author of St Lou Haiku and co-founder of the webzine Ape Culture. She is an avid fan of the St Louis Cardinals who writes a haiku summary of each game which can be found at Twitter.

Julie Wiskirchen is an executive assistant at IMDb, the world's most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities.

Since joining IMDb in 2017, Julie has provided proactive administrative support for IMDb executive leaders and employees. She works cross-functionally with Human Resources, Facilities, IT and Amazon business groups to manage team initiatives and improve intra-office collaboration, and has been recognized for her work at major entertainment industry events including Sundance and San Diego Comic Con.

Prior to her current role at IMDb, Julie held positions as an executive assistant for McKinsey & Company, and at Google, where she was the first executive assistant in the company's Los Angeles office and hosted many Talks@Google events now available on YouTube.
