Biography

Michele Alboreto was born on December 23, 1956 in Milan, Italy. He was married to Nadia Astorri. He died on April 25, 2001 in Klettwitz, Germany.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Tyrrell (1981 (10 GPs)-1982 (16 GPs)-1983 (15 GPs), 1989 (5 GPs)), Ferrari (1984 (16 GPs)-1985 (16 GPs)-1986 (16 GPs)-1987 (16 GPs)-1988 (16 GPs)), Larrousse (1989 (5 GPs)), Arrows (1990 (13 GPs)), Footwork (1991 (9 GPs)-1992 (16 GPs)), Scuderia Italia (1993 (9 GPs)) and Minardi (1994 (16 GPs)). He started 194 Grands Prix, 5 Wins, 2 Pole Positions, 5 Fastest Laps, 23 Podiums and 186.5 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 2nd in 1985.

Michele Alboreto chose blue and yellow for his helmet as a tribute to his childhood idol, Ronnie Peterson, Swedish driver who passed away in September 1978.
