Biography

Gianni Morbidelli was born on January 13, 1968 in Pesaro, Italy.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Scuderia Italia (1990 (1 GP)), Minardi (1990 (2 GPs)-1991 (15 GPs)-1992 (15 GPs)), Ferrari (1991 (1 GP)), Footwork (1994 (16 GPs)-1995 (10 GPs)) and Sauber (1997 (7 GPs)). He started 67 Grands Prix, 1 Podium and 8.5 Points. Best ranked in the World Championship: 14th in 1995.

1991 Australian Grand Prix, last race, Ferrari terminated Alain Prost's contract with the team following his public criticism of them. His raceseat was taken by Gianni Morbidelli and his drive at Minardi was passed on to Roberto Moreno.

Teammates in Formula One were: Andrea de Cesaris, Pierluigi Martini, Jean Alesi, Christian Fittipaldi, Alessandro Zanardi, Taki Inoue and Johnny Herbert.
