Jan Flinterman was born on October 2, 1919 in The Hague, Netherlands. He died on December 26, 1992 in Leiden, Netherlands.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for Escuderia Bandeirantes (1952 (1 GP)). He started 1 Grand Prix.

He and Dries van der Lof became the first Dutch to compete in Formula 1. 1952 Netherlands Grand Prix, Jan Flinterman finished 9th place, he became the first Dutch to finish an Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Teammates in Formula One were: Chico Landi and Gino Bianco.
