Biography

Rommel Daroya (born 29 September 1985) is an accomplished and goal driven Australian actor, performer, voice over artist and singer. Married to Lyra Ang-Daroya, a Lawyer and father to his son Ezra Reign Ang who is also a budding actor having starred in his first international multi award winning short film with his dad in 2021, Cactus and Mime.

Rommel's love for entertaining was sparked through his first starring role as Tyrone in his high schools musical production of Fame. Through his college years, he explored his passion further in between selling phones to businesses by doing extra work through a casting agency. He then temporarily took a decade long break before he rekindled with his passion for the arts in 2017, after taking a redundancy package from a top 4 bank and signed up with boutique acting agency Gina Stoj Management where he has since been living the agencies mantra of "a good actor is a working actor".

He is best known for his role as Dave in the international award-winning web-series 'Full Disclosure' and his guest role as an actor playing a scientist in ABC's Utopia. Among many accolades and credits, he displays his versatility and diversity through his tireless ambition to "make it" and has since featured in such productions as the Tones and I: Fly Away Music Video, playing the Narrator in the multiple award winning satire mokumentary Little Diva Rising and, has starred in several television commericials such as Officeworks, Worksafe, Shannons Insurance and Home Buyers Centre amongst many more.
