Biography

Manpreet Johal is a Punjabi film and record-label producer. He is the producer of Vehli Janta Films, Vehli Janta Records, and Vehli Janta Films Ltd (Canada). He co-founded Vehli Janta Films, Vehli Janta Records and Vehli Janta Films Ltd (Canada), where he has also served as a producer for many successful films and music albums.

Before starting his career as a producer, he started local business in his home town. Forming the record label company Vehli Janta Records. Manpreet began label production with his partner Tarsem Jassar in 2012. Their first effort was Kulbir Jhinjer's, Rakhwan Kota. After the commercial success of Vehli Janta Records, Manpreet Johal entered into the production of Punjabi regional films in 2016 and co-founded Vehli Janta Films. His first effort as a filmmaker was Rabb Da Radio in March 2017, which was a commercial success worldwide and his notable and critically acclaimed movies are Sardar Mohammad in Nov 2017. Later after the success of these movies, he also produced Afsar in October 2018, Rabb Da Radio 2 in March 2019, Galwakdi in 2022, Maa Da Ladla (2022) and Mastaney in 2023. His movie Rabb Da Radio 2 won the 67th National Award for Best Punjabi Feature Film for year 2019.
