Biography

Zsolt Baumgartner was born on January 1, 1981 in Debrecen, Hungary.

Ex-Formula One racing driver, who raced for: Jordan (2003 (2 GPs)) and Minardi (2004 (18 GPs)). He started 20 Grands Prix and 1 Point. Best ranked in the World Championship: 20th in 2004.

In 2003, Zsolt became the first Hungarian driver to race in Formula 1 history driving for Jordan. Zsolt was asked to replace the injured Irishmen Ralph Firman who survived a horrific crash during practice at the Hungarian GP.

2004 United States Grand Prix, Zsolt Baumgartner finished 8th place (1 point) and he became the first Hungarian driver in Formula One to score point.

Teammates in Formula One were: Giancarlo Fisichella, Ralph Firman and Gianmaria Bruni.
