Biography

Ashley (Da-Lê) Duong is a Montreal-based film and television director, writer, editor and producer. She was a writer and director for Space Explorers: Moonrise on the ISS (2023). With over 250 hours of footage filmed on the International Space Station, the Space Explorers series is the largest production ever filmed in space. Her debut feature-length documentary, A Time to Swim (2017), won Best First Feature at Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival 2018. In 2023, she was CALQ x Villa Saigon's Quebec Artist Laureate in Vietnam. Ashley is a member of Brown Girl Doc Mafia, BIPOC TV & Film, and has sat on the Board of Directors of the Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) Quebec. - April 24, 2023
