Biography

Mike "The Griz" Ritz is a classic. His entertainment career began at age 19 when he hosted the radio show Conservation Conversation. His filming career began with ESPN Outdoors in the mid 70's followed by National Geographic, Sportsman Channel and WFN programs.

Mike has been in Mexico since 1985 filming/ acting and as an adviser to the Mexican Government. He and his son Charles have produced and co-hosted multiple television and radio shows. His television shows Adventures South of the Border, Chef on the Water, Discovering Mexico, Mexico Unleashed, Griz el Salvaje and Charles' show Best Eat are broadcast on Sky and MegaCable in Mexico, several networks in the USA and across 43 countries around the world. He has his own Roku network as well as an Apple/Android app called The Griz Channel. Mike is a host on Fish Talk Radio, is a contributor to several magazine publications and has received 9 awards from the Outdoor Writers Association for his work in print, TV and radio.

Mike and Charles are completely bi-cultural and bilingual and their programs are as well. They have done extensive filming throughout Mexico and offer their production services to others interested in filming in Mexico.

Mike has filmed with Gene Simmons and Paul Staney of Kiss, country star Eric Pasley, and La Ley and more. Mike and Charles are also Hollywood producers and have recently worked with producer Shane Stanley and director Lee Stanley and actors Amy Johnston, Graham Clarke and Joe Lando on Paloma's Flight.
