Biography

Jung Jae-il was born on May 7, 1982 in South Korea. He is a composer, known for Parasite (2019), Mickey 17 (2025) and Squid Game (2021).

He took piano lessons as a child, but thought it was boring. He started composing at age 10. He was the bass player in a Korean funk band, started getting paid gigs at age 17, and began composing music for pop groups and movies.
