Gaston Palewski was born on 20 March 1901 in Paris, France. He was married to Helen-Violette de Talleyrand-Périgord. He died on 3 September 1984 in Val-Saint-Germain, Essonne, France.
Long-time secret companion of Nancy Mitford, he was the brother in law of Christian Fouchet. His mother in law was the Franco-American socialite Anna Gould (1875-1961).
