Biography

Omar Parker is an American media executive, producer, content creator, author, chill guy, and serial chip & dip eater. Parker is a big believer in work smart not hard.

His love of film began when he watched the greatest film ever created, Rush Hour 2. After that moment, everything was downhill for him. He had experienced peak content. In high school he graduated with really OK grades and a terrible attendance record that got him into his dream school. A state university in a ski town, that at the time, was one of the drunkest cities in America. At 17 he began producing content with the critically acclaimed Puppetmania, about a group of poor puppets storm the castle of El Senor, a brutal dictator who has hoarded resources and luxuries from his people.

He graduated from Montana State University in 2019 with honors in film & photography somehow, despite making a play in junior year that was so bad it temporarily shut down a 50 year old theater program. While in college he started Egerton Crescent Productions with Charles Burt his producing partner. Together they would produce as a duo and with multiple production companies, 21 features, 26 short films, and 4 mini series in a little over a decade. With titles landing at every festival under the sun including Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, TIFF, Sitges, and even becoming Academy Award nominated. The titles showed in over 100 nations, while also being acquired by companies like Gravitas Ventures. These films featured talent like Michael Madsen, Eric Roberts, Fred Melamed, Barry Bostwick, Lesley Ann Warren, Jane Kaczmarek, George Lazenby, Michael Pare, Forrest Goodluck, Daniel Baldwin, Kevin Sorbo, Tom Sizemore, Martin Klebba, Larry Hankin, Danielle Harris, & Brinke Stevens. They also... somehow... were able to be a production company on an Academy Award nominated short film.

Parker also got involved in the digital media space, creating and working with many brands. His first digital brand was Captain's Log, a YouTube channel dedicated to the Star Trek fandom started out of quarantine boredom. The brand amassed over 100K subscribers before Parker moved onto Allrites. Allrites is a CaaS (Content as a service) platform that sells content to up and coming OTT platforms around the world. While there Parker was the business development manager, helping to foster new relationships with streaming services. He helped create opportunities with Crackle, LG, Planet Theta, ChimeTV, TCL, and many more while helping to train their sales team.

In 2022, Parker became a producer at TBNR. TBNR was a Forbes top 10 YouTube conglomerate of 7 channels with 70 million+ subscribers run by Preston and Brianna Arsement, with nearly 100 full time employees. While there he produced many videos and shorts that amassed over 1 billion views and frequently hit top spots on the Youtube trending page, leading a full time production team of 20+ employees. Parker helped with brand deals for the channel with companies like Warner Bros, Paramount, Lego, Air Up, Zuru, & GameStop. He also aided in collaborations with other YouTubers like Mr. Beast, Mark Rober, Unspeakable, ZHC, & Lachlan.

In 2023 he began his own social media brand known as Tumbleweed. Through the brand he gained millions of followers on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, worked with global hotel brands, and took production worldwide with places like France, Turkey, Japan, Greece, UAE, and more. With this brand he also somehow became an Amazon bestselling author for his book, "Inebriated Haikus" that he wrote in a drunken stupor at a bar in Texas.

In 2025 he would announce the end of his digital content in favor of more traditional routes of media as an individual producer. He announced his feature film directorial debut, The Prince, The Sister & The Serpent the same year and also executive produced "Olive", which took home a Silver Screen Award at Cannes and was a best film nominee at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
