Leila is a filmmaker from Tyre, Lebanon. She holds a BA in Audiovisual Arts from IESAV, the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, and an MFA in Film Directing at FAMU. Her second-year film The Adam Basma Project was short-listed for the 48th Student Academy Awards after having its world premiere at the DocLisboa International Film Festival.

Her second-year film The Adam Basma Project was short-listed for the 48th Student Academy Awards after having its world premiere at the DocLisboa International Film Festival. Leila's graduation film, Sea Salt (2023), premiered at the 80th La Biennale Venice International Film Festival in the official Orizzonti Short Film Competition, before screening in various international film festivals.
