Biography

Y.D. Manoj, a Freelance Sound Engineer, Film Festival Coordinator and Digital Marketing Consultant has worked in the Film and Advertising industry for almost four years and during this time has worked on ten films, both regional and international and has also been a part of over 100 ad films.

Manoj has been credited as Production Sound Engineer on the critically acclaimed French Film Dheepan, which was the recipient of the coveted Palme d'Or, at the 2015 Cannes International Film Festival. Other popular films that he has worked on include Mrs. Sripriya Malini 22, Palayamkottai, Malini 22 and Drushyam, Papansam directed by Mr. Jeethu Joseph, Careful directed by Mr. V.K.Prakash, and worked for patch work of Kaala directed by Pa Ranjith, Vada Chennai directed by Vetrimaaran and Super Deluxe directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja.

In 2014, Y.D Manoj has hired as a Festival Assistant for the Chennai International Film Festival and eventually he took over as Print Coordinator the very same year. He went on to hold the position of Print Coordinator for the next three years. Manoj has also played a crucial role in organizing various other smaller film festivals in Coimbatore.
