Arizona Actors Academy, led by Brandy Hotchner, MFA from The Actors Studio, takes pride in being the cornerstone of quality theater and film arts training in the greater Phoenix area. Our reputation is earned not claimed. This is no run of the mill acting school whose focus is on profit before integrity. We are dedicated to providing conservatory level acting training, to rival the best MFAs in the country, but accessible to any working adult. At Arizona Actors Academy, seasoned actors exercise their skills, new actors gain the skills and confidence necessary to be seriously competitive and this is the only studio preparing actors and models for the real world of acting in New York, Los Angeles and even London.

Both her parents are published playwrights and formed the first professional theater company in Denver, Colorado.
Taught Shakespeare at Scottsdale Community College.
She went to the University of Redlands in California for a degree in directing and studied abroad in London for a year.
Bradley Cooper and Brandy Hotchner both attended the Actors Studio MFA program in New York City. They were in the same class and have worked together.
Teaches the tradition of American Method Acting.

Actors are sensitive on an elite level. This tends to be something that makes childhood not so easy, but it can make you a damn good actor.
I think everyone should try an acting class. Acting teaches you about compassion, and it takes it from a theory of empathy and puts you inside the condition someone else is living in. I think that'd be very valuable for anyone, particularly those in positions of authority, like politicians, police officers and doctors, right?
The biggest mistake new actors make is to think they don't need training. It's extremely naïve to think you are pretty enough or charismatic enough to understand the craft of acting.
You can call it method, but my training goes beyond The Actors Studio. I don't believe there's one right or perfect approach to acting, but there are fundamentals every actor has to have, and that's the Stanislavski (method of acting.) After that, the actor needs many tools to achieve the goal of living truthfully in imaginary circumstances.
But I'm an actor, and I'll always be acting.
