The family lived in Oakland until March 2001, when they relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.

He began training under Dan Hewitt Owens and Frank Parillo in Las Vegas, developing a strong foundation in performance. A year into his journey, he learned that the prestigious Identity School of Acting - originally based in London - was opening its first U.S. campus in Los Angeles. After auditioning in the fall of 2018, Michael was accepted just two weeks later and moved to Los Angeles to embark on the next chapter of his career.
