Eric Dubois(IV)
- Writer
- Producer
Eric Dubois (aka "Erwood") was born in a suburb of Paris.
He's a writer and a producer, living in Paris, after a stint in London.
In 2019, his first TV Series "My IA Is Sick", a dystopian story world, was selected by R/O Institute, the Incubator of Media-Participations, the European media consortium (owner of Dupuis and Dargaud-Lombard).
Later this year, for the same project, Eric and Arte TV liaised to make it produced, but the Covid pandemic paused the interest of potential producing companies.
In 2023, after several rewriting, "MiiS" became "GENE:SYS" and was presented to several film festivals on FIlmFreeway.
In 2024, the script of "GENE:SYS" won the OUTSTANDING EXCELLENCE award in the Original Concept competition at the "Sci-Fi Horror & Action Film Festival".
In 2025, Eric will be present at the MIP London to promote "GENE:SYS" and his new action and political TV Series project "Cyber Boy and Action Girl".
Eric had various influences in Sci-fi and heroic fantasy. From being a Science-fiction fan, reading Jules Verne and then moving to Isaac Asimov, Philip Kindred Dick and Lovecraft. Simultaneously, reading Marvel comics (when it was not mainstream!) and Image comics (such as "Invicible"). More recently loving mangas, from "Akira" to "Death Note".
A long time admirer of Brian Michael Bendis and of the TV Series "Jessica Jones", Eric received a certificate in "Narrative worlds & Emerging technologies", gained experience in community management for a comics publisher and worked on the feasibility of a science fiction channel in France.
