Biography

She studied at Seattle's private Lakeside High School. She earned a degree in human biology from Stanford University in 2018 and took a year off to focus on her equestrian passion before going to medical school. She enrolled at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine. She graduated from Columbia University with her master's degree in public health on May 2023.

In January 2020, Gates announced her engagement to the renowned Egyptian equestrian Nayel Nassar. Nassar also attended Stanford University. The got married on October 16, 2021, and welcomed their first daughter, a girl named Leia, on March 6, 2023.

Oldest daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda Gates. Her younger siblings are Rory John Gates and Phoebe Gates.

She is American of German, English, Scottish, and Scotch-Irish descent from her father's side.

Became a mother for the second time on October 16 2024, a baby girl. Father is her husband Nayel Nassar.

Everyone struggles with self-doubt, or feeling like we're not good enough, all these different things. Self-care is a bit of a buzzword, but for me it's about doing the internal work and coming to a place where you can accept and love those parts of yourself, and really feel whole. Mental health and mindset are both super important to me, and I encourage everyone to learn more about yourself and prioritize this. I also meditate and journal regularly.
