Biography

April Smith has worked in television and entertainment for more than 25 years. Her career as a television show stage manager includes working such shows as Black Girls Rock, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Kennedy Center Honors, $100,000 Pyramid and The Daily Show to name a few. In addition to stage management, she also has a passion for photography, videography and editing. These other interests often provide insight into the work of her fellow crew members and creators, thereby enhancing her stage manager prowess. She is familiar with all genres of live and live to tape television. She also studied ballet, modern and jazz dance and has volunteered her time to teaching classes and choreography to children and adults.

April is a firm believer in helping out the next generation and actively seeks to guide and mentor young people.
