Astor Kim-Stark is a Korean American film director, writer and producer originally from Daegu, South Korea. She is a 2026 Sundance Institute TAAF Scholar, a 2025 TIFF Writers' Studio fellow and Chanel Women Creators' Network fellow, a two-time mentee of Ryan Murphy's HALF Directing Initiative, and a 2020 semi-finalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowship.
Astor attended university at the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts earning her M.F.A. in Film & Television Production.
