- I am a Minnesota-raised, Minneapolis-based filmmaker, photographer, and video creator. While attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, I wrote, directed, and produced Hair of the Dog in 2016.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema and Media Culture, I founded Pinto Productions LLC to craft original films, web series, and creative video projects. Since then, I have produced a Minnesotan state park and culture series called "You Betcha Minnesota!", distributed Hair of the Dog with Filmhub via the Relay app, and continued developing original projects that help challenge me and grow as a filmmaker.
My current work includes "Hempzards", a series that allows me to train and experiment with VFX, genre storytelling, and independent production problem-solving, as well as "Pintorama." This project is a creative interview and painting series that helps me build my studio one piece of equipment and one lesson at a time.
While my love for visual storytelling lies in creature features, thrillers, horror, and fantasy, what inspires me most is the ability to tell stories that carry individual meaning for the viewer and for each person involved in their creation.
My dream is to build Pinto Productions into a company that spotlights the unique talents of each team member, creates original stories with heart, and inspires future filmmakers to tell their own stories and make an impact.
When I am not behind a camera, I enjoy exploring trails, spending time with my cat, Bilbo, running obstacle courses, and searching the Twin Cities for the best pizza place! When life slows down, or I am between projects, I can usually be found relaxing in a hammock chair with a Stephen King novel or watching spooky movies with my wife.
