Biography

Valerio Vanzani class of 1999 began working in film industry at the age of 9 participating in various TV commercials. He attended the acting academy "Progetto Miniera" of director and playwright Thomas Otto Zinzi for five years. He does several jobs for national networks (Rai-Mediaset) and starts producing his first short films by opening Light Focus Cinema currently still in operation. After he produces his first experimental film about the story of a family shown over 10 years - shooting of which began in June 2018 and will continue in the coming years until 2028 with Ignazio Oliva, Alessandra Carrillo, Ethan Rossi and Selene Paciotta. He enrolls in the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at La sapienza University in Rome in the meantime he produces with his production company Light Focus "My Frida" a critically acclaimed short film, which tells the story of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, her accident, her art and her love with Diego Riviera. In 2020 he takes part in an International project to direct "Blues wave of a boy" a documentary set between France and Spain, telling the story of the emotions of a young boy passionate about surfing and the sea. Produced by Ocean Earth, DR Fix and Shapper. He takes part in various assistant roles on sets such as "Questo nostro amore 80" (Rai), Giulio Manfredonia's "è arrivata la Felicità, and Stefano Reali's Rimbococchiamoci le Maniche. In 2022 he made a Disney-branded video clip at the Forum music Village studios in Rome for Isabella Merced during the making of the film "Rosaline." He writes two books The Tellin Rake (2016), Incandescent to Fable (2022).
