Robert Friend was born on 29 February 1920 in Columbia, South Carolina, USA. He was married to Doris (Bunny) Hall, Anna Rice and Kathryn Ann Holland. He died on 21 June 2019 in Long Beach, California, USA.
One of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, he rose yo lieutenant colonel in USAF and directed the Blue Book project on UFOS before working for aeronautic companies.
