Biography

Julia Carlile

Overview

  • Born
    January 19, 2002 · Liverpool, UK
  • Height
    5′ (1.52 m)

Biography

  • Born in Merseyside and raised in Liverpool, Julia is a force of nature-known in the media as a scoliosis-battling teen with a heartfelt story and a Britain's Got Talent (2017) and Britain's Got Talent: The Champions (2019) Finalist, having gotten a golden buzzer from Alesha Dixon following their beautiful dance to Rachel Platten's "Fight Song", that portrayed Julia's real-life struggle with the brutal physical condition, scoliosis. Knowing this may be the last time she could dance, Julia auditioned with her best friends under the name "Just Us", that was then changed to "MerseyGirls", which they are globally known by.

Julia has danced to several hit songs, has become close friends with icons like Simon Cowell and Princess Eugenie of England, and has since pursued acting upon the realization she may not continue to dance and physically exert herself after her scoliotic curvature grew despite her experimental, double Anterior Scoliosis Correction (ASC) surgeries with Doctors Antonacci, Betz, and Cuddihy-known as Drs ABC-in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Her notable works include Season 3 of the hit British drama-action series, Tin Star, in which she portrayed Kayden Fergerson as a guest-star, alongside Tim Roth and other recurring cast members, and the London-based short film Stockholm. Her upcoming project includes the 1960 Liverpool-based short film, Cyn (2021).
