Biography

Christian Heschl, originally from Austria, is a Vienna & London based composer, who's wide and unique range of musical styles crafted over the past years, is reflected in his versatile list of credits. These include National Geographic, Disney+, AppleTV+, DiscoveryChannel, PBS, AmazonPrime, Sony, NBC/SyFy, ZDF, ARD, and ORF.

Most recently, he composed the score to the new 6 part adventure series - Lost Cities Revealed - for Disney+, following National Geographic Explorer Albert Lin as well as the science doc-film - Super Reefs - on NatGeo and Hulu. He also scored the highly acclaimed NBC/SyFy documentary - Like Hell I Won't -, telling the captivating story of comic artist legend - Todd McFarlane - creator of Spiderman, Venom and Spawn as well as the PBS/TerraMater Film - Hippo King - directed by EMMY nominee Will Steenkamp (BBC Planet Earth II, Hostile Planet, Primates). One of the recent projects - Unwavering - got a nominated with a Panda Award at the Wildscreen Festival 2024.

In addition to his own projects, Christian has also ongoing collaborations with other composers including, Walter Mair by serving as score producer on the action blockbuster - The Bricklayer - (starring Aaron Eckhart & Nina Dobrev) directed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard2, Cutthroat Island); The AppleTV+ thriller series - Liaison - (starring Eva Green & Vincent Cassel) directed by Stephen Hopkins (Lost in Space). Christian's music can be also heard in the upcoming adventure series - Nautilus - on AmazonPrime he worked on as well for Emmy-winning composer Nainita Desai as additional composer. Active in Television he contributed music to the AmazonOriginal sports documentary - Rooney - and Sky Televisions - Dettorie - which was directed by triple BAFTA winning director, and Oscar nominated Executive Producer, Anthony Wonke.
