Biography

Shahriar Azim is a Bangladeshi-born filmmaker, short story writer, and producer known for his evocative storytelling and visually compelling narratives. Born in 1992 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Shahriar discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age, which eventually led him to pursue a career in filmmaking.

Shahriar's body of work spans both documentary and fictional filmmaking, with a focus on exploring themes of human isolation, alienation, and societal complexities. His notable projects include the short films Osmosis (2016), Black Beans (2017), Widh (2019), and American Anomie (2021).

Shahriar holds an Associate of Arts degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Los Angeles City College. and a BSc in broadcasting Journalism from Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. He is the Co-founder of Red Shadow Pictures INC., through which he continues to create thought-provoking independent films. Currently based in Los Angeles, Shahriar Azim remains dedicated to crafting stories that resonate with audiences on a deeply emotional level.
