West Montez

West Montez is an African-American actor of Puerto Rican descent. He grew up in Brooklyn and Dallas. He played 15-year-old Afro-Puerto Rican teen, Jamal Romero, in the sixth season of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off, Station 19 (2023). A series regular in the BET+ period drama, Perimeter (2024), he portrayed Romeo, a young Afro-Latino from New York navigating the culture shock of 1990s Atlanta. He later guest starred as 17-year-old Cam Webb in the thirteenth season of Chicago P.D. (2026).
Born in Michigan, he spent most of his childhood back and forth between Michigan, New York, and Texas. Throughout the years, however, his family relocated across the country often. He began performing on stage at the age of 4, singing in choirs and dancing in talent shows. At 7, he discovered the theater, and by 13, he made a pivotal decision to focus on the further development of his acting craft, leading to intensive studies in drama school.
