Laila Abdo grew up corn-and-hummus-fed in Harrisburg,Illinois, exploring the national forest surrounding her. To pass the simple country-life hours, she developed a lifelong love affair with music filled with singing, piano-playing, low-brass hauling, and ukulele-strumming. Speaking Arabic while at home and packing pita-bread sandwiches to school before it was cool, she has a knack for other languages and accents.
Since moving to Los Angeles, she co-founded the diversity-focused, storytelling production company Free Pizza Productions with Ashley J. Woods. After filming their original pilot "The Understudies", a mockumentary look into theatre life, their partnership has continued to blossom as they release shorts such as "Exes". When she's not content creating, Laila can be found jumping in at Upright Citizens Brigade or playing Settlers of Catan.
