Her most recent film, Echo (horror movie) and Throught my eyes (2026), is in post-production and presents a deeply human story told from a unique perspective.
In Besieged (2025), Lucero served as director, producer, and screenwriter. The screenplay received the EFCA (Fiscal Incentive for Artistic Creation), and the film has won 11 international awards, including:
The film was also nominated in several categories at the Golden Gate International Film Festival, including Best Director, Original Score, Actress, and Actor. It received Honorable Mentions at the Brighton Rocks International Film Festival (UK, 2025) and the Bedford International Film Festival (USA, 2025).
Her debut feature film, The Journey (2021), which she also wrote, produced, and directed, was an Official Selection at numerous international festivals, including the Toronto International Women Film Festival (Best Director category), Mexico City International Film Festival, Lift-Off Global Network at Pinewood Studios (UK), Toronto Multicultural Film Festival, CineFem - IX International Women’s Film Festival (Uruguay), and the L.A. Femme International Film Festival, where she was nominated for Best Feature Screenwriter.
Her work has been featured in national media outlets such as Info7, Televisa Monterrey, and El Norte, among others.
Lucero is a four-time recipient of the EFCA grant:

In 2019, she won first place in a literary competition for her novel Pink Rebellion, which was published and presented at the International Book Fair.
She has also received specialized training in the film industry:
Masterclass in Storytelling and Animation with Pixar (screenwriting focus) Masterclass in Film Directing with Diego Luna Diploma in Film Sales and Distribution with Paramount Pictures Selected to attend the Writing for Film and Television workshop by Vancouver Film School (Monterrey), on a full scholarship
