Baris Akkoyun

Baris Akkoyun is a Turkish actor, writer and director. He was born in Agri, Turkey, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He later moved to Istanbul for high school and studied acting at the Cukurova University State Conservatory in Adana. After graduating, he returned to Istanbul and began his professional acting career, working across television, film and theatre. In 2015, Akkoyun wrote, directed and produced the short film Eza, which was screened at national and international film festivals. In 2023, he wrote and directed the short film Temas, which he co-produced with Rez Film (Rezan Yesilbas). Alongside his acting career, Akkoyun continues to write and develop original works for film, television and theatre.
