Yuka Murakami is a filmmaker and artist from New York. Her practice began in experimental sound, then afterwards in documentary film as a camera operator and editor. She has a BS in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego, and a MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts. She was awarded the Alison Doerner Prize in 2021 and the Emmy award in 2020 as a producer.
