Mireia Vilanova(I)

Mireia Vilanova is an animation and live action producer based in Los Angeles. Her work has been featured in festivals all over the world, including Sundance, Toronto, Locarno and Tribeca, and has received numerous accolades, including the Jury Award for Animation at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival for Living with a Visionary. Her television credits include some of the world's biggest animation franchises, such as Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob or Monster High. As an independent producer, her past feature credits include By Design (Sundance premiere distributed by Music Box), I Live Here Now (Locarno premiere, distributed by Utopia), Sender (SXSW premiere, starring Britt Lower and Jamie Lee Curtis) and Cece's Interlude (Sundance TAAF grant recipient, The Downtown Festival premiere). Upcoming features include Silence Sometimes (Berlinale Co-Production Market, Sundance Producers Lab) and Moonfish (Biennale College Cinema grant recipient).

Mireia is a proud member of the Television Academy, where she serves on the Animation Peer Group Executive Committee, the Producers Guild of America and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). She is a Sundance Producers Lab Fellow, Berlinale Talent, PGA Create Fellow, Film Independent Project Involve Fellow, Women in Film Fellow, Gotham Fellow, and a recipient of the Berlinale VFF Talent Highlight Award. She holds an MFA from USC's Peter Stark Producing Program and a BA from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
