Raj Deepak Shetty is an Indian actor known for his work in Kannada and Telugu films and web series. He was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, to Late Prem Shetty and Late Sarala Shetty. He completed his schooling at Milagres Pre University and pursued his college education at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. His interest in acting developed at an early age through his participation in school and college plays. He is also known for maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle.
Shetty began his acting career with Kannada television serials, appearing in shows including Kadambari, Preethi Illada Mele, Nigooda, Bande Baruthava Kaala, Muthina Thene, Luv Lavike and Niharika.
Director Chethan Kumar noticed his performance in Luv Lavike and cast him as an antagonist opposite Dhruva Sarja in Bharjari. Although production of the film was delayed, Shetty continued working on Tiger, directed by Nanda Kishore, and Shrikanta, directed by Manju Swaraj. Shrikanta became his first film to release, followed by Tiger and Bharjari, which became a major commercial success.
In 2019, Shetty made his Telugu film debut with Ismart Shankar, in which he portrayed the antagonist Devendra Viswanath. He subsequently expanded his work in the Telugu entertainment industry with his lead role as Pratap Reddy in the web series Gods of Dharmapuri, directed by Anish Kuruvilla. His performance received appreciation and led to further opportunities to work with directors including Venu Udugula and Srikanth Addala, as well as actors such as Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh Daggubati and Jagapathi Babu.
Shetty has since established himself through a range of supporting and antagonist roles across Kannada and Telugu cinema and digital entertainment.
