Shani Hawes

Hailing from Atlanta, Ga; Shani made her onscreen debut with the critically acclaimed digital series Blue Collar Hustle (2017-2018), in which she starred as Asha Luna. From there she starred for two seasons as Nandi Chisholm on the multi-award winning Seeka.TV original series Black on Both Sides (2019-2021). Never one to rest on her laurels, Shani concurrently filmed two digital series back-to-back from 2022-2024, producing and starring in the acclaimed heist series Silver & Gold and the upcoming dramedy Good Black Man. Shani is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including being named Best Actress by the Virgin Spring Cinefest and the L.A. Shorts Awards as well as Best Supporting Actress by the Indie Short Fest. On the production side she was bestowed the Award of Merit from the Southern Shorts Awards as part of the production team for Blue Collar Hustle's inaugural season.
