Andy Brewster is a producer, 1st AD, and director based in North Carolina and Los Angeles, California. With a background spanning traditional production and influencer-driven storytelling, Andy's work focuses on bridging the gaps between evolving forms of media in today's rapidly shifting entertainment landscape.
Beginning as a YouTube Partner in middle school, Andy has since directed influencers such as @splack in cinematic short films and served as 1st Assistant Director on large-scale productions for creators including MrBeast. In the commercial and branded space, Andy has produced projects for clients such as Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Bandwidth, Golf Digest, ShareFile, and Ryan Reynolds' agency MNTN.
While still an undergraduate student, Andy produced award-winning short films that screened internationally, including "Caesura" and "A Piacere," as well as two micro-budget feature films: All Is Calm (2020) and Rubaru (2022), the latter of which won the Audience Choice Award at the 2021 International Christian Film Festival.
Most recently, Andy Co-Produced and served as 1st Assistant Director on May and the Woodsman, an independent feature film produced by Iris Indie and Hal Lieberman (Bridge to Terabithia, Terminator 3). Alongside his freelance producing work, Andy develops original narrative projects under Wayfinder Pictures, a production label he founded in 2023.
